She started by making things.
Growing up, Mai Linh was drawn to anything visual and hands-on. One moment that stayed with her: she entered an embroidery competition with almost no experience, taught herself within a week, and ended up winning first place.
That mindset still carries into her work. She figures things out quickly and pushes until they work.
